Since its founding in 1952, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has stood as Kuwait’s first indigenous bank and the Gulf region’s pioneering shareholding company. Known as “The bank you know and trust,” NBK has built its reputation on stability, innovation, and customer-centricity.

Offering a full spectrum of financial and investment services, NBK has grown into a thought leader committed to empowering its customers with timely financial education and exceptional banking experiences. Meanwhile NBK needed a solution that would unify its PR and marketing strategies while allowing for a deeper understanding of its audience.

Uniting PR and marketing for consistent, impactful messaging

NBK’s goal was clear: to provide its audience with consistent, timely messaging that aligns with their needs while maintaining the bank’s trusted voice. But this required closer collaboration between PR and marketing teams. PR needed better tools to ensure the brand’s presence across channels stayed sharp and authoritative, while marketing needed deeper insights into customer behaviors to create meaningful, tailored content.

On top of this, Emplifi’s AI-powered suggestions added a predictive edge, helping NBK anticipate customer needs and improve messaging even further.

Stronger engagement through unified efforts

By bringing PR and marketing together, NBK achieved remarkable results. The bank’s content impressions increased by 623%, and video views rose by 471%, reflecting the success of their tailored, audience-focused campaigns.

Among NBK’s standout efforts were the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign, which boosted financial awareness through educational content, and the “Card Spends & Salary Switch” campaign, which engaged specific customer groups with relevant, targeted messaging. These campaigns demonstrated how Emplifi’s tools helped NBK deliver on its mission to educate and empower its audience.
