Disclaimer: Emplifi published this comparison, and it reflects our point of view. We’ve worked to represent every platform accurately and fairly, but it’s worth knowing it comes from one of the vendors listed. It’s provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee or warranty of any platform’s current capabilities. Claims are drawn from publicly available sources (vendor websites, product and help-center documentation, and press releases) as of July 2026. AI tools helped gather and synthesize the research, which our team reviewed; but no process is error-free, and details may be incomplete or out of date. How to read the ratings: “✓” is a capability we could confirm, “—” is partial or thinly documented, and “✗” is not offered or not confirmable publicly. A “—” or “✗” means we couldn’t fully verify a capability, not necessarily that it doesn’t exist; a vendor may offer it through enterprise plans, private documentation, or roadmap commitments not reflected here. Capabilities, pricing, packaging, and certifications change frequently, so nothing here should be the sole basis for a purchasing decision. Do your own due diligence, including direct vendor conversations and review of current contracts, documentation, and trials, before buying. All product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only, implying no affiliation or endorsement. This comparison was not sponsored by, and no compensation was received from, any other platform featured.

Platform summaries

The 10 platforms at a glance

A short, plain-language read on where each vendor stands today.

“Autonomous CX for Enterprise”

Emplifi is the only Autonomous CX platform unifying social marketing, commerce, and customer care in a single data model. It’s a combination no direct competitor fully replicates. Its Fuel platform, which is powered by Emplifi Fuel AI, acts as an autonomous coworker across the customer journey: automating routine engagement and care tasks, routing conversations to the right team or bot, and unifying analytics across every channel so insights surface faster because marketing, commerce, and care all run on shared data instead of siloed tools. The result is less manual work and faster time-to-insight for enterprise teams. Emplifi prices at a flat-rate rather than per-seat, which is a cost advantage at scale.

“AI-native Unified-CXM Platform”

Sprinklr is the only platform in this group that natively covers enterprise contact center (CCaaS), social management, consumer intelligence, and content marketing under a single contract. With approximately $867 million in guided FY2027 revenue, it is also the market’s largest vendor by revenue. Its AI layer is branded Sprinklr Copilot and AI+ and interfaces with its four product suites. The May 2026 acquisition of ViralMoment added frame-by-frame video intelligence to its listening capabilities. The persistent counterweight to Sprinklr’s breadth is complexity: it has historically had the longest implementation timelines in the group.

“AI-Powered Social Intelligence Platform”

Sprout Social repositioned itself in May 2026 from a social media management tool to a “social intelligence platform,” anchored by its Trellis AI agent (launched November 2025) and the $55 million acquisition of NewsWhip in July 2025. Its 30-day free trial and published per-seat pricing make it one of the most accessible platforms in terms of buying transparency. The trade-off is that per-seat pricing becomes expensive at enterprise scale, advanced analytics requires a paid add-on, and Sprout does not offer native UGC rights management, shoppable gallery deployment, or live commerce capabilities.

“AI-Powered Customer Engagement Platform”

Khoros is in the most dramatic state of transition of any platform in this group. Acquired by IgniteTech in May 2025, with approximately 80% of its staff subsequently replaced, the company launched two rebuilt AI-native platforms on April 10, 2026: Aurora AI (enterprise brand communities) and Iris AI (social media management and care). Aurora AI’s community platform has technical depth, including customer-specific Community Language Models and AI agents for moderation, answer assist, and workflow automation. Iris AI unifies Khoros’s previously separate Care and Marketing products. However, both remain in beta or early access as of mid-2026.

“The social suite built for our fast-moving world”

Brandwatch‘s central competitive asset is the depth and breadth of its consumer intelligence data: 1.6 trillion historical conversations indexed across 100 million-plus sources. Its December 2025 acquisition of Trajaan added Search Intelligence capabilities including monitoring how brands appear in AI-generated results from ChatGPT and Gemini. Brandwatch’s weakness is that its social media management product (still accessed at app.falcon.io) is not fully integrated with its consumer intelligence platform. It lacks employee advocacy, chatbot, and native commerce capabilities.

“Intelligence you can act on”

Meltwater approaches the category primarily from a media intelligence and PR heritage. Its strongest capabilities are in earned media monitoring, journalist database and outreach, and influencer marketing. Its GenAI Lens feature (launched July 29, 2025) was the first generally available LLM brand monitoring product in the category. While it offers a unified inbox and publishing tools through Meltwater Engage, these features are often viewed as secondary to its listening ecosystem. Meltwater is a consideration for organizations that value raw market intelligence over all-in-one social media operational suites.

“Everything social. One place. Connected by AI.”

Hootsuite completed a major product reorganization when it launched “Social OS” on June 24, 2026, restructuring its entire portfolio under new product names (Perch, Nest, Lumen, Parliament, Wisdom) and introducing Wisdom, a social-first AI agent. The 2024 acquisition of Talkwalker gave Hootsuite its listening differentiation: Blue Silk AI covers 150 million-plus sources across 187 languages with 90-day trend forecasting.

“Social Media Management Platform"

Dash Social differentiates on visual-first content intelligence rather than broad omnichannel engagement, combining Vision AI content-performance prediction, generative creative tools, and an integrated creator/UGC management suite. Its Content Library is a native DAM with auto-tagging, visual search and version control. Pricing is flat-tier rather than per-seat, with unlimited users included even at its lowest plan.

“AI-powered social listening platform”

YouScan is a pure-play social listening and visual-intelligence platform rather than a full engagement suite, differentiated by AI-powered image, logo, and object recognition across monitored mentions (Visual Insights) and a GPT-based conversational research assistant, Insights Copilot. Its security posture is strong for its size: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022, an independent penetration-test report, and a third-party GDPR privacy seal are all verifiable through its SafeBase trust center. It doesn’t have publishing, customer care, commerce, or DAM capability.

"The AI Social OS Bridging Community with Revenue"

Nectar Social is the youngest platform in this group. It positions itself as an AI-powered “Social OS” that helps consumer brands turn community engagement into revenue. Its AI agents handle replies, DMs, and community management in a brand’s specific voice, while listening across comments, videos, and stories to spot trends and feedback. It helps brands track competitors and influencers, while tying social activity to purchase data.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Independent Research & Methodology: This comparison was built from primary source research conducted in July 2026. Feature claims were accepted as confirmed only when supported by explicit product announcements or documentation.

For each platform, we examined:

  • Official vendor websites and product pages
  • Verified press releases
  • Technical release notes
  • Published competitive comparison content

Zero Vendor Influence: No vendor paid for inclusion on this list, reviewed this content prior to publication, or influenced the methodology in any way.

Start with what you’re trying to solve:

  • Proving Social ROI: Connecting social performance directly to bottom-line revenue.
  • Protecting Brand Reputation: Real-time crisis monitoring and brand risk management.
  • Driving E-commerce Conversion: Seamless integration with social storefronts and shoppable media.
  • Scaling Customer Care: Managing enterprise support teams with unified workflows and clean audit trails.

Then, look for a team that unifies your own top priorities, and book a demo.

Enterprise social platforms generally utilize one of two primary pricing structures:

  1. Per-Seat Licensing: Costs scale directly with the number of users. This model is most common among platforms targeting smaller or mid-sized teams.
  2. Outcome-Based (Modular) Contracts: Pricing is determined by usage metrics like audience size, data volume, and selected product modules. This is designed to scale across large, distributed organizations without penalizing headcount growth.

When evaluating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), buyers should look beyond the base platform fee and account for variable costs including:

  • Social listening data ingestion limits
  • Customer care ticket volumes
  • Professional implementation and onboarding fees

Integration depth varies a lot across enterprise social platforms. Best-in-class solutions provide bi-directional CRM integration with platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot, making sure social care interactions update customer records automatically. They also support enterprise data pipelines to BI tools such as Snowflake or BigQuery, giving analytics teams access to social data within their existing infrastructure.

How enterprise social platforms handle AI data privacy and prevent hallucinations is one of the most scrutinized questions in vendor evaluations. And, it’s something you should ask about if you follow up with any of the ones mentioned in this comparison. The real leading platforms protect brand data through a combination of in-house AI models and strict contractual commitments with any third-party providers, making sure customer content is never used to train foundation models without explicit permission. To prevent hallucinations in customer care, best-in-class solutions use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) anchored to your organization’s approved knowledge base, so AI-generated responses are grounded in verified content rather than generalized model outputs. Human-in-the-loop workflow controls ensure that for high-stakes interactions, a person always makes the final call.

Yes. In 2026, how a platform is built generally matters most to enterprise buyers.

Juggling separate point tools for publishing, social listening, customer care, and social commerce creates massive operational friction, leading to:

  • Slower response times due to disconnected team workflows
  • Siloed reporting with no single source of truth for social ROI
  • Higher overhead from managing multiple vendor contracts and logins

A platform built on a single data model unifies marketing, care, and commerce across the entire customer journey, delivering compounding efficiency that isolated point tools don’t.
