Why "Infinite Experience" is the theme of Emplifi Summit '21

Many months ago, we started the planning for Emplifi Summit '21. It was to be our first annual event under a new brand and we were preparing to introduce the industry's first truly unified CX platform — one that addresses interactions at every stage of the customer journey, from digital marketing and engagement to commerce and customer care. So we got to thinking, what would be a fitting theme for the event?

The concept of infinity came to mind. Apply it to the customer journey, and you start to envision brands that have an infinite understanding of their audiences and marketers who create never-ending experiences — or infinite interactions — for each customer. A new phrase began to take shape: The Infinite Experience.

Imagine the possibilities when brands create ongoing loops of meaningful engagement. You continue the conversation and deepen the connection. Then, sparks begin to fly and all of a sudden, you're creating meaning that builds loyalty. These interactions can happen anytime, anywhere, on any channel. This is what Emplifi is all about.

I'm thrilled that The Infinite Experience ultimately became our event theme. As the agenda came together, we began to explore the concept from many angles:

  • Omar Johnson joins us to talk about the anatomy of big ideas that result in long-lasting experiences, and how they are built, not conceived.

  • Steven Wolfe Pereira, CEO of edtech company Encantos, will talk about how businesses have to perpetually surprise and delight their customers.

  • Forbes CXO Lynn Schlesinger and I will discuss customer journeys, and how she looks at customer lifetime value in a very literal sense.
