Middle East Markets electronics social media benchmarks for Q3 2026 show Instagram well ahead of Facebook on interactions, even though Facebook pages have the bigger audiences. The median electronics brand’s Instagram post earned 19 interactions in September, against five on Facebook, where the median halved from 10 in August. Reels led organic results on Instagram, Live Video led on Facebook, and giveaways produced four of the quarter’s six most-interacted posts.
This quarterly benchmarks report draws on Emplifi’s dataset of 103 Facebook pages and 71 Instagram profiles of electronics brands in Middle East Markets, covering July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Brands using Emplifi’s UGC solution saw these average uplifts in Q3 2026:
These are averages from Emplifi’s Worldwide Brands UGC benchmark, across 68 to 83 accounts per metric. The benchmark spans brands in every category worldwide, so it is not specific to electronics brands in Middle East Markets.
Two categories own Facebook in Middle East Markets: industrial and airline brands together collect about 90% of brand interactions among the categories broken out. Airlines also lead on Instagram, with services second. Electronics keeps a low profile on Facebook, with 0.7% of brand posts and 0.3% of interactions. On Instagram its share of interactions (2.8%) roughly matches its share of posts (2.9%), enough to edge into the top five.
Facebook interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Industrial | 48.4% |
| Airlines | 42.0% |
| Telecom | 5.1% |
| Services | 1.4% |
| Finance | 0.7% |
| Others | 2.4% |
Instagram interaction distribution (Q3 2026):

| Airlines | 36.3% |
| Services | 12.4% |
| Auto | 3.9% |
| Electronics | 2.8% |
| Retail | 2.8% |
| Others | 41.8% |
The categories listed are those with the most brand posts in Middle East Markets, plus electronics. Others combines every remaining category.
Facebook has the larger audience here. The median electronics page has about 60,000 fans, against about 37,000 followers for the median Instagram profile, and both post at a similar pace. Instagram still returns about twice the interactions over the quarter.
| Metric | ||
|---|---|---|
| Median followers / fans | 37,297 | 60,132 |
| Median posts published (quarter) | 37 | 35 |
| Median total interactions (quarter) | 1,168 | 574 |
This metric follows the middle-ranked page or profile each month, so a handful of viral accounts can’t inflate it.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post interactions |
|---|---|
| 19 | |
| 5 |
Facebook spent most of the 15 months between eight and 13 interactions per post and opened Q3 at 11.5, then fell to 10 in August and to five in September, its lowest point in the period. Instagram has been more stable: it ranged from 14 in February 2026 to 25 in December 2025 and spent Q3 between 18.5 and 22.
Indexing each platform to its own 15-month peak makes the two easier to compare despite their different scales.
Instagram ended September 2026 at 76% of its December 2025 high. Facebook’s September drop left it at 38% of its peak of 13, reached in January and April 2026, the lowest point of the period for either platform.
Impressions count how often posts were displayed, whether or not anyone interacted. They measure visibility, not engagement.
Emplifi’s dataset has too few electronics profiles in Middle East Markets with impression data this quarter, so the impressions below are the Asia electronics medians.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post impressions |
|---|---|
| 1,712 | |
| 1,280 |
Instagram impressions in that series peaked at 4,450 in September 2025, fell to 1,624 by February 2026 and spent Q3 between about 1,700 and 2,100. Facebook impressions eased from a high of 2,898 in November 2025 to about 1,280 in September 2026, the lowest point of the 15 months.
Engagement rates come from the same Asia electronics series as the impressions above, for the same reason, so read them as a regional reference point rather than the Middle East Markets median.
Median post engagement rates this quarter:
Across the quarter’s three months, Instagram’s median ranged from 1.20% to 1.35% and Facebook’s from 0.54% to 0.61%. Instagram’s rate has more than doubled from its September 2025 low of 0.57%, peaking at 1.40% in June 2026. Facebook moved within a 0.48% to 0.65% band over the 15 months.
From this quarter, Emplifi calculates engagement rate from impressions instead of reach, because Facebook no longer provides reach data. These rates are therefore not comparable with the engagement rates in earlier quarterly reports.
Facebook: Live Video earned a median of 21 interactions per post, more than three times any other format. Reels, photos and status updates tied at six, and links trailed at three. Live Video is rare but rising: it made up 1.4% of electronics brands’ Facebook posts in September, up from 0.2% in August.
Instagram: Reels led with a median of 22 interactions, ahead of carousels and single images.
Full organic post type performance (Q3 2026):

| Photo | 6 | |
| Status | 6 | |
| Link | 3 | |
| Reel | 22 | |
| Carousel | 16.5 | |
| Image | 13.5 |
Post type distribution trends:
Reels have taken a growing share of electronics brands’ Facebook output, from 25.6% of posts in July 2025 to 37.4% in October 2025 and 45.6% in September 2026, while photos fell from 63.6% to 51.7%. On Instagram, Reels rose from 40.4% to 48.7% of posts. Single images, the weakest format, still made up 36.2%, and carousels slipped from 18.4% to 15.2%.

OPPO’s Arabia page drew almost twice the interactions of the second-placed page from 78 posts, the fewest of the top three. On Instagram, Samsung Saudi led by a wide margin while also posting the most.
Giveaways stand out. The two top Facebook posts and the second and third Instagram posts asked people to follow, like, share or tag friends for a chance to win a device. The leading Facebook giveaway drew almost three times the interactions of the next post.

Emplifi’s ad trend files have no series of their own for Middle East Markets, so the table compares the electronics benchmark with Emplifi’s all-brands benchmark. Both pool ad accounts across all regions. Figures are for September 2026, with the quarter’s monthly range:
| Metric | Electronics benchmark (all regions) | All-brands benchmark (all regions) |

This report is produced quarterly from Emplifi’s proprietary social media dataset, drawn from the platform used by more than 22,000 brands worldwide.
Data collection: Data is pulled once per quarter and reflects the state of Emplifi’s database at the start of the quarter following the period analyzed. It is not updated between releases.
Sample: 103 Facebook brand pages and 71 Instagram brand profiles in the electronics category in Middle East Markets, July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Reporting period: Monthly metrics are reported for September 2026, the final month of the quarter, and trend commentary covers July 2025 through September 2026. The ads trend series also covers July 2025 through September 2026.
Minimum thresholds: Reports require a minimum of 50 Instagram profiles and 50 Facebook pages for a given region and industry combination. Interaction distribution data requires a minimum of 300 profiles. Ad benchmarks require a minimum of 200 active ad accounts from the region or industry.
All costs are in USD. All figures are medians unless otherwise noted; UGC uplifts are averages. Data is first normalized at the profile or page level before aggregation.
Instagram. The median Instagram post earned 19 interactions in September 2026, against five on Facebook, and over Q3 the median profile collected 1,168 interactions on Instagram versus 574 on Facebook, even though the median Facebook page has more fans.
They produced most of the quarter’s top posts: four of the six most-interacted Facebook and Instagram posts were giveaways. The leading one, a realme Iraq giveaway, drew 33,451 interactions on Facebook.

On this quarter’s numbers, yes. Live Video earned a median of 21 interactions per post, against six for Reels, photos and status updates, yet it made up only 1.4% of Facebook posts in September 2026.
The closest available reference is the Asia electronics median, which reached up to 1.35% on Instagram and 0.61% on Facebook in Q3 2026, because Middle East Markets has too few profiles with impression data this quarter.
