Middle East fashion social media benchmarks for Q3 2026 show Instagram doing the heavy lifting: the median fashion brand’s Instagram post earned 22.5 interactions in September, while the median Facebook post earned two, its lowest level in 15 months. Carousels led on Instagram with almost twice the interactions of Reels, Live Video led on Facebook, and couture and artisan labels posted the top Instagram posts.
This quarterly benchmarks report draws on Emplifi’s dataset of 235 Facebook pages and 246 Instagram profiles of fashion brands in the Middle East, covering July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Brands using Emplifi’s UGC solution saw these average uplifts in Q3 2026:
These are averages from Emplifi’s Worldwide Brands UGC benchmark, across 68 to 83 accounts per metric. The benchmark covers brands in every category worldwide, so it is not specific to fashion brands in the Middle East.
Industrial and airline brands account for almost 90% of Facebook brand interactions in the Middle East among the categories broken out. Airlines also lead Instagram, ahead of services. Fashion is a small category on both platforms: 1.3% of Facebook brand posts for less than 0.1% of interactions, and 0.7% of Instagram posts for 0.6% of interactions.
Facebook interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Industrial | 47.8% |
| Airlines | 41.6% |
| Telecom | 5.2% |
| Services | 1.5% |
| Finance | 0.7% |
| Others | 3.2% |
Instagram interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Airlines | 36.3% |
| Services | 12.3% |
| Auto | 3.9% |
| Retail | 2.8% |
| Finance | 2.4% |
| Others | 42.3% |
The categories listed are those with the most brand posts in the Middle East. Others combines every remaining category, fashion included.
Fashion brands post at the same pace on both platforms, 34 times in the quarter, but the median Instagram profile has about 96,000 followers against about 54,000 Facebook fans and collects about 16 times the interactions.
| Metric | ||
|---|---|---|
| Median followers / fans | 96,109 | 53,631 |
| Median posts published (quarter) | 34 | 34 |
| Median total interactions (quarter) | 1,422 | 88 |
This metric follows the middle-ranked page or profile each month, so a handful of viral accounts can’t inflate it.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post interactions |

Instagram peaked at 27.5 interactions per post in August 2025, fell to 17 in early 2026 and recovered to between 21 and 23.5 during Q3. Facebook slipped from five in July 2025 to three for most of 2026, and to two in September.
Indexing each platform to its own 15-month peak makes the two easier to compare despite their different scales.
Instagram ended September 2026 at 82% of its August 2025 peak, up from 62% in early 2026. Facebook finished at 40% of its July 2025 high, the lowest point of the period for either platform.
Impressions count how often posts were displayed, whether or not anyone interacted. They measure visibility, not engagement.
Emplifi’s dataset has too few fashion profiles in the Middle East with impression data this quarter, so the impressions below are the Asia fashion medians.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post impressions |
|---|---|
| 3,147 | |
| 1,059 |
In that Asia series, Instagram impressions fell from a peak of 11,802 in October 2025 to 3,147 in September 2026, the lowest point of the 15 months. Facebook impressions dropped from 3,436 in December 2025 to 1,059 in September 2026, also the period’s low.
The engagement rates below also come from the Asia fashion series, so read them as a reference point rather than the Middle East median.
Median post engagement rates this quarter:
Across the quarter’s three months, Instagram’s median ranged from 0.97% to 1.28% and Facebook’s from 0.43% to 0.51%. Both September rates are the highest of the 15 months. Instagram’s rate has risen almost fourfold from its October 2025 low of 0.32%, and Facebook’s from 0.36% in August 2025.
From this quarter, Emplifi calculates engagement rate from impressions instead of reach, because Facebook no longer provides reach data. These rates are therefore not comparable with the engagement rates in earlier quarterly reports.
Facebook: Live Video earned a median of 21 interactions per post and links six, while Reels, photos and status updates earned two or three. Live Video is almost unused, though, at less than 0.1% of fashion brands’ Facebook posts in September.
Instagram: Carousels earned a median of 48.5 interactions, nearly twice the 26 for Reels and four times a single image.

Treat these medians as a calibration point for fashion brands in the Middle East, not a ceiling. Pull the same measures for your own Facebook and Instagram profiles and set them against the September 2026 figures above:
On Instagram, carousels earn the most and Reels come second, so weight your plan toward both and use single images sparingly. On Facebook, where the median post earned two interactions in September, judge success on Instagram first.
This report is produced quarterly from Emplifi’s proprietary social media dataset, drawn from the platform used by more than 22,000 brands worldwide.
Data collection: Data is pulled once per quarter and reflects the state of Emplifi’s database at the start of the quarter following the period analyzed. It is not updated between releases.
Sample: 235 Facebook brand pages and 246 Instagram brand profiles in the fashion category in Middle East, July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Reporting period: Monthly metrics are reported for September 2026, the final month of the quarter, and trend commentary covers July 2025 through September 2026. The ads trend series also covers July 2025 through September 2026.

All costs are in USD. All figures are medians unless otherwise noted; UGC uplifts are averages. Data is first normalized at the profile or page level before aggregation.
