Middle East Markets fashion social media benchmarks for Q3 2026 show Instagram earning ten times as much per post as Facebook: the median fashion brand’s Instagram post earned 20 interactions in September, against two on Facebook. Reels narrowly beat carousels on Instagram, Live Video led on Facebook, and Lebanese couture house Georges Hobeika posted two of the three top Instagram posts.
This quarterly benchmarks report draws on Emplifi’s dataset of 160 Facebook pages and 177 Instagram profiles of fashion brands in Middle East Markets, covering July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Brands using Emplifi’s UGC solution saw these average uplifts in Q3 2026:
The uplifts are averages from Emplifi’s Worldwide Brands UGC benchmark, across 68 to 83 accounts per metric. That benchmark includes brands in every category worldwide, so it is not specific to fashion brands in Middle East Markets.
On Facebook, industrial and airline brands take about 90% of brand interactions among the categories broken out for Middle East Markets. Airlines lead Instagram too, followed by services. Fashion is a niche category on Facebook, with 1.2% of brand posts and almost no share of interactions, while on Instagram its 0.5% of interactions matches its 0.5% of posts.
Facebook interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Industrial | 48.4% |
| Airlines | 42.0% |
| Telecom | 5.1% |
| Services | 1.4% |
| Finance | 0.7% |
| Others | 2.4% |
Instagram interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Airlines | 36.3% |
| Services | 12.4% |
| Auto | 3.9% |
| Retail | 2.8% |
| Finance | 2.4% |
| Others | 42.2% |
The categories listed are those with the most brand posts in Middle East Markets. Others combines every remaining category, fashion included.
The median fashion profile in Middle East Markets has about 93,000 Instagram followers, more than twice its 43,000 Facebook fans. Posting volumes are close, 35 Instagram posts and 38.5 Facebook posts in the quarter, yet Instagram collected about 15 times the interactions.
| Metric | ||
|---|---|---|
| Median followers / fans | 93,254 | 42,526 |
| Median posts published (quarter) | 35 | 38.5 |
| Median total interactions (quarter) | 1,262 | 82 |
This metric follows the middle-ranked page or profile each month, so a handful of viral accounts can’t inflate it.

Instagram moved within a narrow band of 16 to 23 interactions per post across the 15 months and finished Q3 at 20, up from 18 in July and August. Facebook fell by more than half over the period, from 4.5 in July 2025 to two in August and September 2026.
Indexing each platform to its own 15-month peak makes the two easier to compare despite their different scales.
Instagram ended September 2026 at 87% of its December 2025 high. Facebook finished at 44% of its July 2025 peak, matching its February to April 2026 low and the weakest point for either platform.
Impressions count how often posts were displayed, whether or not anyone interacted. They measure visibility, not engagement.
Emplifi’s dataset has too few fashion profiles in Middle East Markets with impression data this quarter, so the impressions below are the Asia fashion medians.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post impressions |
|---|---|
| 3,147 | |
| 1,059 |
Both platforms ended the quarter at their lowest point of the 15 months in that Asia series. Instagram impressions fell from a peak of 11,802 in October 2025 to 3,147 in September 2026, and Facebook impressions from 3,436 in December 2025 to 1,059.
The engagement rates below come from the same Asia fashion series, for the same reason, so treat them as a reference point rather than the Middle East Markets median.
Median post engagement rates this quarter:
Across the quarter’s three months, the Instagram median ranged from 0.97% to 1.28% and the Facebook median from 0.43% to 0.51%. September was the highest month of the 15 for both. Instagram’s rate has climbed from 0.32% in October 2025, with most of the rise between November 2025 and March 2026.
From this quarter, Emplifi calculates engagement rate from impressions instead of reach, because Facebook no longer provides reach data. These rates are therefore not comparable with the engagement rates in earlier quarterly reports.
Facebook: Live Video earned a median of 21 interactions per post, four times the five for status updates. Reels earned three, photos one and links a median of zero. Live Video is very rare, at less than 0.1% of fashion brands’ Facebook posts in September.
Instagram: Reels (26) edged out carousels (23), and both earned more than twice as much as a single image (11).
Full organic post type performance (Q3 2026):
| Post type | Platform | Median post interactions |
|---|---|---|
| Live Video | 21 | |
| Status | 5 | |
| Reel | 3 | |
| Photo | 1 | |
| Link | 0 | |
| Reel | 26 | |
| Carousel | 23 | |

Status updates dropped from 8.0% to 3.3%. On Instagram the three formats are evenly matched: Reels made up 35.5% of posts in September 2026, carousels 34.0% and single images 30.0%.

Two Georges Hobeika Reels and a Krikor Jabotian carousel make up the Instagram top three. On Facebook, jewelry posts from Zoughaib & Co and Pure Gold Jewellers led, ahead of a Reel from Lustro.

The placement figures below come from Emplifi’s fashion ad accounts benchmark, which pools fashion ad accounts across all regions, so they are not specific to Middle East Markets.
Facebook feed leads with 30.99% of the average fashion ad budget, followed by Instagram feed at 23.66%, a 7.33 percentage point gap. Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels complete the top five.
The most cost-efficient placements this quarter:
Facebook feed and Facebook Reels appear on both lists. Instagram feed, despite the second-largest budget share, is the most expensive placement on both CPC ($0.51) and CPM ($6.27).
Spend, CPC and CPM by placement (Q3 2026):
| Placement | Share of spend (%) | CPC (USD) | CPM (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Facebook feed | 30.99 | 0.23 | 4.53 |
| Instagram feed | 23.66 | 0.51 | 6.27 |
| Instagram Stories | 17.85 | 0.42 | 5.92 |
| Instagram Reels | 11.35 | 0.45 | 4.12 |
| Facebook Reels | 8.53 | 0.27 | 3.97 |
All five placements clear 1%. Facebook feed leads at 2.16%, and Instagram Reels is lowest at 1.11%.
CTR by placement (Q3 2026):
| Placement | CTR (%) |
|---|---|
| Facebook feed | 2.16 |
| Instagram Stories | 1.82 |
| Instagram feed | 1.58 |
| Facebook Reels | 1.47 |
| Instagram Reels | 1.11 |
Emplifi’s ad trend files have no series of their own for Middle East Markets, so the table compares the fashion benchmark with Emplifi’s all-brands benchmark. Both pool ad accounts across all regions. Figures are for September 2026, with the quarter’s monthly range:
| Metric | Fashion benchmark (all regions) | All-brands benchmark (all regions) |
|---|---|---|
| CPM (USD) | 2.69 (2.14 to 2.69) | 2.09 (1.83 to 2.09) |
| CTR (%) | 1.40 (1.40 to 1.62) | 1.13 (1.06 to 1.13) |
Fashion costs more to advertise than the all-brands average, with a higher CPM in every one of the 15 months, peaking at $3.06 in November 2025. Fashion also earned a higher CTR every month: 1.40% in September 2026 against 1.13% for all brands, though September was fashion’s lowest month of the quarter. No monthly CPC series is available.
Treat these medians as a calibration point for fashion brands in Middle East Markets, not a ceiling. Pull the same measures for your own Facebook and Instagram profiles and set them against the September 2026 figures above:
On Instagram, Reels and carousels perform close to each other and well ahead of single images, which still make up almost a third of posts. On Facebook, photos earn a median of one interaction, so status updates, Reels and Live Video are the formats to test.
This report is produced quarterly from Emplifi’s proprietary social media dataset, drawn from the platform used by more than 22,000 brands worldwide.
Data collection: Data is pulled once per quarter and reflects the state of Emplifi’s database at the start of the quarter following the period analyzed. It is not updated between releases.
Sample: 160 Facebook brand pages and 177 Instagram brand profiles in the fashion category in Middle East Markets, July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Reporting period: Monthly metrics are reported for September 2026, the final month of the quarter, and trend commentary covers July 2025 through September 2026. The ads trend series also covers July 2025 through September 2026.
Minimum thresholds: Reports require a minimum of 50 Instagram profiles and 50 Facebook pages for a given region and industry combination. Interaction distribution data requires a minimum of 300 profiles. Ad benchmarks require a minimum of 200 active ad accounts from the region or industry.
All costs are in USD. All figures are medians unless otherwise noted; UGC uplifts are averages. Data is first normalized at the profile or page level before aggregation.
About ten times as much per post. The median Instagram post earned 20 interactions in September 2026, against two on Facebook, and over the quarter the median profile collected 1,262 interactions on Instagram versus 82 on Facebook.
Both. Reels earned a median of 26 interactions per post in Q3 2026 and carousels 23, while single images earned 11. Single images still made up 30.0% of Instagram posts in September 2026.
Not on this quarter’s numbers. Photos earned a median of one interaction per post in Q3 2026, against 21 for Live Video, five for status updates and three for Reels, yet photos made up 61.8% of Facebook posts in September 2026.
This quarter the closest reference is the Asia fashion median, up to 1.28% on Instagram and 0.51% on Facebook, because Middle East Markets has too few profiles with impression data for its own figure. A free social media assessment measures your own rate against it.
Facebook feed, with the lowest CPC ($0.23) and the highest CTR (2.16%) of the five biggest placements in Q3 2026. Facebook Reels has the lowest CPM, $3.97. These figures come from Emplifi’s fashion ad accounts benchmark, which pools fashion ad accounts across all regions.
