Middle East Markets finance social media benchmarks for Q3 2026 show Instagram ahead on every engagement measure: the median finance brand in Middle East Markets earned 18 interactions per Instagram post in September, against four on Facebook. Median engagement reached up to 1.17% on Instagram and up to 0.68% on Facebook across the quarter. Live Video was Facebook’s standout format, and Reels led on Instagram.
This quarterly benchmarks report draws on Emplifi’s dataset of 307 Facebook pages and 266 Instagram profiles of finance brands in Middle East Markets, covering July 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2026.
Brands using Emplifi’s UGC solution saw these average uplifts in Q3 2026:
The figures come from Emplifi’s Worldwide Brands UGC benchmark, averaged across 68 to 83 accounts per metric. That benchmark covers brands in every category and region, so it is not specific to finance or to Middle East Markets.
Two categories dominate brand interactions in Middle East Markets. On Facebook, industrial and airlines brands together take about 90% of interactions; on Instagram, airlines alone take 36.3%. Finance is one of the busiest publishers, with 14.3% of Facebook brand posts and 10.9% on Instagram, but it draws 0.7% and 2.4% of interactions.
Facebook interaction distribution (Q3 2026):
| Category | Share of total interactions |
|---|---|
| Industrial | 48.4% |
| Airlines | 42.0% |
| Telecom | 5.1% |
| Services | 1.4% |

| Services | 12.4% |
| Auto | 3.9% |
| Retail | 2.8% |
| Finance | 2.4% |
| Others | 42.2% |
The tables list the five categories with the most interactions among those the data breaks out for the region, which are the region’s most active publishers plus finance. Others combines every remaining category.
The median Facebook page has about 1.7 times the followers of the median Instagram profile, and both post at a similar pace of three to four times a week. Instagram still collected almost four times the interactions over the quarter.

| Median followers / fans | 26,778 | 45,097 |
| Median posts published (quarter) | 45 | 42 |
| Median total interactions (quarter) | 1,125 | 299 |
This metric follows the middle-ranked page or profile each month, so a handful of viral accounts can’t inflate it.

Instagram has moved within a narrow band, from a high of 21 in November 2025 to a low of 15 in June 2026, and recovered to 17 to 19 in Q3. Facebook sat at seven for most of 2025, moved between five and seven through mid-2026 and reached four in September, its lowest point in the period.
Indexing each platform to its own 15-month peak makes the two easier to compare despite their different scales.
Instagram finished September 2026 at 86% of its November 2025 high. Facebook ended at 57% of its peak, the lowest reading for either platform in the period.
Impressions count how often posts were displayed, whether or not anyone interacted. They measure visibility, not engagement.
| Platform | Q3 2026 median post impressions |
|---|---|
| 1,653 | |
| 948 |
Instagram impressions are about a quarter of their September 2025 peak of 6,253. The sharpest drop came in December 2025, and the median has stayed between about 1,500 and 2,000 since March 2026. Facebook impressions fell from 1,510 in July 2025 to a low of 701 in July 2026, then recovered to 948 in September. The decline is broad: median Facebook impressions for all brands in Middle East Markets fell from about 840 in July 2025 to 400 in September 2026.
Median post engagement rates this quarter:
Across the quarter’s three months, Instagram’s median ranged from 0.99% to 1.17% and Facebook’s from 0.63% to 0.68%. Instagram’s rate more than doubled over the period, from a low of 0.45% in August 2025, with the biggest jump between November 2025 and January 2026. Facebook moved between 0.59% and 0.78% across the 15 months.
From this quarter, Emplifi calculates engagement rate from impressions instead of reach, because Facebook no longer provides reach data. These rates are therefore not comparable with the engagement rates in earlier quarterly reports.
Facebook: Live Video earned a median of 65 interactions per post, about nine times the next format, links. It is also the rarest format, at 0.11% of finance brands’ Facebook posts in September. Reels and photos, the two formats finance brands use most, earned 3.5 and three.
Instagram: Reels led with 23.5, ahead of carousels at 19 and single images at 14.

The data has no separate Middle East Markets series for ad cost trends this quarter, so the table compares the finance benchmark with Emplifi’s all-brands benchmark, which also pools ad accounts across all regions. Figures are for September 2026 with the quarter’s monthly range:
| Metric | Finance benchmark | All-brands benchmark |
|---|---|---|
| CPM (USD) | 1.49 (1.31 to 1.49) | 2.09 (1.83 to 2.09) |

Finance CPM rose from $1.13 in July 2025 to $1.49 in September 2026, its highest point, while all-brands CPM peaked at $2.24 in November 2025 and dipped to $1.62 in January 2026. Finance CTR climbed from 0.84% to 1.36% over the 15 months. No monthly CPC series is available.
Treat these medians as a calibration point for finance brands in Middle East Markets, not a ceiling. Pull the same measures for your own Facebook and Instagram profiles and set them against the September 2026 figures above:
