Instagram dipped to 30 in December 2025, recovered through 2026 and reached a high of 39 in August 2026 before easing to 36 in September. Facebook slid from 10 in mid-2025 to six in September 2026, its lowest point in the period.
Indexing each platform to its own 15-month peak makes the two easier to compare despite their different scales.
